The Center for Individual Freedom takes your privacy seriously. Protection of your fundamental right to privacy is a cornerstone of this organization. You can therefore rest assured that our privacy practices are held to the highest standards of the internet, or anywhere else for that matter. Should you choose to provide us with personal information, such as your name, phone number or e-mail address, the Center will vigorously guard the information and only use it to respond to your specific requests. The Center will never sell or rent your information, or even share it with any third party without first obtaining your express authorization.
Please read the following to understand how your personal information will be treated:
Gathering of Information and Cookies*:
The Center requires no personal information for access to our site and will collect information from you on a strictly voluntary basis. You may choose to receive e-mail updates from us upon request and may at any time ask to discontinue receiving them.
Due to our stringent privacy standards, the Center has made every attempt to completely delete or disable all cookies associated with this website. However, despite our best efforts, cookies remain embedded in the third-party software we use to run our We The People section. Our attempts to delete all remaining cookies have been a hard lesson in the pervasiveness of cookies that increasingly are interwoven into Internet software technology and are difficult, and at times impossible, to remove. You can disable all cookies by selecting the "disable cookies" option in your computers security settings, found in "Internet Options" under the "Tools" section of your web browser. Click here for a step by step guide to disabling cookies, or for more information please e-mail us at at info@cfif.org, or call us at 703-535-5836.
Security:
The Center utilizes state-of-the-art procedures to protect your privacy. For donations to the Center, we use the services of Hockaday Donatelli Campaign Solutions to process all credit card transactions. As effective as our security measures may be, it is important to know that no data transmission over the Internet can be guaranteed as completely secure. That is simply a reality we all must live with to benefit from this remarkable communications medium.
Summary Statistics:
The Center may utilize software programs that create summary statistics to determine site activity and assess what information is of most or least interest to our visitors, to determine technical design specifications, and to identify system performance areas. The information we receive is in the form of an aggregate report and does not identify any individual.
If you have any questions about Internet privacy or our privacy policies, please call us at 703-535-5836 or e-mail us at Info@CFIF.org
