In today's post 9-11 world, it is inconceivable that people who entered America illegally would be allowed to obtain a driver's license. But today, they can. In fact, 11 states issue driver's licenses to illegal aliens, as if they were citizens, allowing them to blend into our society and travel freely and unnoticed throughout the country. Many of the 9-11 hijackers used state issued driver's licenses to board planes at U.S. airports, despite being in the country illegally.

The REAL ID Act would clamp down on illegal aliens' ability to obtain and use driver's licenses and state-issued identification cards. Provisions of the REAL ID Act were originally part of the 9-11 Intelligence Reform bill, but they were dropped from the final version. Despite promising a quick vote on the REAL ID Act, leaders in Congress are now back peddling. The READ ID Act's vital changes to our immigration laws are in jeopardy, and that puts us all at risk.

That's why we need your help today! Congress needs to hear from concerned Americans like you that it’s time to protect America by making sure illegal aliens can’t get drivers’ licenses. Please take action now!

Click here to send an electronic letter to our leaders in Congress urging them to swiftly pass the REAL ID Act.
