REID SAID THE PRESIDENT IS �DRUNK WITH POWER�

The Democratic National Committee just staged a massive nationwide conference call with Minority Leader Harry Reid and Howard Dean to rally the liberal Left.

And in the coming days -- at the behest of Senator Reid and Chairman Dean -- a flood of liberals from across the country will be faxing and calling these six fence-sitting Senators to persuade them to continue the obstruction against President Bush's nominees.

We desperately need to counter this massive drive RIGHT NOW!

Both Dean and Reid used highly inflammatory language to describe the President and the conservative leaders in Congress.

During this call, Reid slandered the President and had the nerve to say he was "arrogant" and "drunk with power" and he accused our leaders in Congress of "abusing their power."

If President Bush is "drunk with power," then I would certainly like to know what Minority Leader Reid was drinking before he made this conference call.

LIBERALS �GOING NUCLEAR�

Harry Reid is still threatening to shut down the Senate if Republicans move to end the filibusters against the President�s judicial nominees.

Already, using an arcane Senate rule, Reid has stopped Senate committees from meeting while the full Senate is in session.

It would seem that the only ones "going nuclear" are the liberals in the Senate.

In fact, the liberals have EXTENDED their reign of obstructionism by threatening to filibuster NON-JUDICIAL nominations -- including John Bolton's nomination to be Ambassador to the United Nations and Lester Crawford's nomination to be head of the Food and Drug Administration.

So what is Harry Reid's threat to "shut down" the Senate really all about?

Simply put, if the Democrats get their way, OBSTRUCTION will become the RULE.

I am sure you will agree that we can not let that happen -- not when we are so close to victory.

We need to STAND UP to these liberal "bullies" and CALL THEIR BLUFF!

THE BATTLE OF THE CENTURY

This battle is too important to lose. We really need to ramp up our efforts to counter the Left�s multi-million dollar, all-hands-on-deck campaign to defeat the Constitutional Option and President Bush�s judicial nominees!

And this fight is only getting bigger.  Don�t forget the liberals are threatening to expand the filibusters, and at least one Supreme Court vacancy is going to open up soon -- maybe two, three or even four.  Chief Justice Rehnquist is ill, and Justices Stevens, O'Connor and Ginsburg are all over 70 years old.

Our ability to place a real conservative majority on the Supreme Court may very well rest with this Constitutional Option.

If we fail now -- an entire generation will pass before conservatives have another opportunity to put common sense judges on the bench.

The vote on the Constitution Option will happen in days, but there are still six Republican Senators waffling.  We must counter the Left�s campaign and let the fence-sitters know that we expect them to do the right thing.

This is literally the battle of a lifetime.
