Massachusetts would impose rigid, costly, and unnecessary regulations on wireless services, adding cost and confusion for the state’s 4 million wireless consumers CFIF Urges Mass. to Reject New Red Tape for Cell Users

This week, CFIF joined a coalition of major organizations to urge Massachusetts legislators to reject a proposal to increase taxes and regulatory red tape on cell phone and other wireless telecommunications users.

The proposed legislation in Massachusetts would impose rigid, costly and unnecessary regulations on wireless services, adding cost and confusion for the state’s 4 million wireless consumers. The proposed regulations could also seriously harm the Massachusetts economy by forcing job cuts in the wireless industry, as well as hurting businesses that benefit from wireless technology.
