In the brief, the District of Columbia argues that the Second Amendment protects only militia-related firearm rights, the Second Amendment does not apply to laws limited to the District of Columbia, and the District’s reasonable gun control laws do not infringe the right to keep and bear arms.
Recently, Robert Levy, a senior fellow in constitutional studies at the Cato Institute, joined talk radio host Mike Bates, substituting for CFIF’s Renee Giachino, to discuss the case, which he personally conceived and brought.
