Cato on Contraception Mandate: 'We Should All be Exempt'

As a companion must-read article to Tim’s column on the ObamaCare birth control mandate, John Cochrane of Cato explains why President Barack Obama’s proposed compromise to exempt church-related institutions misses the point:

Launches New Television Ad to Further Address Judicial and Crime-Related Issues in the State

ALEXANDRIA, VA – The Center for Individual Freedom (“CFIF”) last week expanded its public education effort in Alabama by launching a new television ad that further addresses judicial and crime-related issues in the state.

The ad discusses the importance for judges to tell “The WHOLE Truth,” just as they would expect of witnesses appearing in their courtrooms.  The ad concludes by urging listeners to logon and sign CFIF’s online petition at www.cfif.org/Alabama asking Judge Deborah Bell Paseur to tell to the whole truth about her oil money and positions on crime.

The ad can be seen below:

CFIF is a constitutional advocacy organization with more than 250,000 supporters and activists nationwide. Since 1998, the organization has been active with its efforts to educate the public on a wide range of issues, including judicial and crime-related issues, at the federal, state and local levels.

A president who has impaired the vibrancy of the private sector so badly has long since forfeited the moral high ground."…[more]
