CFIF: TV Issue Ads Expose Tim Kaines Real Record on the Death Penalty and Second Amendment Rights

Alexandria, VA — The Center for Individual Freedom today began airing a television issue ad across Virginia educating the public about the major differences between Governor Mark Warner’s and Lt. Governor Tim Kaine’s records on the Second Amendment and the death penalty.

“Tim Kaine has been traveling the state, claiming he supports gun owner rights and the death penalty,” said Marshall Manson, CFIF’s Vice President of Public Affairs. “But his recent statements contradict his record. Our educational ads are designed to inform Virginians about Tim Kaine’s real record on these important issues.

“Kaine says he agrees with Governor Warner on these issues,” Manson continued. “It’s time he stopped trying to fool Virginians. Tim Kaine and Mark Warner are far apart. Kaine’s anti-death penalty, anti-gun rights record couldn’t be any clearer.”

CFIF’s multi-week issue ad educational effort will air initially in Roanoke and Norfolk and may expand to other areas of the state in coming weeks..

“This is a significant educational program.  We will do everything necessary to educate Virginians about these issues and the big differences between Mark Warner’s and Tim Kaine’s records on the death penalty and Second Amendment rights,” Manson concluded.

He even tried to use taxpayer dollars to support the anti-gun Million Mom March.

Tim Kaine opposes the death penalty and gun-owner rights. That doesn’t sound like Mark Warner at all.
