A California couple is suing a local Mexican restaurant claiming to have suffered food poisoning from eating at the restaurant.

Just shy of two weeks after being temporarily shut down by health inspectors for an alleged outbreak of bacterial food poisoning among patrons, Alejandro's Taqueria was served with papers in a lawsuit brought by Derrick and Latachianna James who allege they suffered with diarrhea and vomiting three days after eating at the popular restaurant.

The couple is seeking at least $25,000 in damages for the alleged food poisoning harm.
