Kaine Runs from His Record in Response to CFIF Issue Ads

Alexandria, VA — Virginia Lieutenant Governor Tim Kaine reacted to the Center for Individual Freedom’s issue ads that are educating Virginians about Kaine’s record on the death penalty and gun owner rights. In response, Marshall Manson, the Center’s Vice President of Public Affairs, made the following statement:

“Tim Kaine can try to run from his anti-Second Amendment, anti-death penalty record, but he won’t ever escape it.

“How does Kaine square what he’s saying today with his long anti-gun record which even included trying to use taxpayer dollars to promote the anti-gun Million Mom March?

“Tim Kaine talks about being straight with Virginians, but he’s distorting his own record on the Second Amendment and the death penalty in an attempt to look like Mark Warner’s clone.

“We believe Virginians should know the whole truth, and we intend to make sure that they understand Kaine’s real record.”
